Marching on...

There hasn't been much activity here for a while, but be assured that we are still here!

Unfortunately, however, since I am leaving to go overseas for the rest of the year, there won't be another LAN till January/February next year :( Don't fear though, Epic LAN-ers we are going to come back stronger and better than ever. This year won't go to waist, plans have already been put into motion, the wheels are turning, and the fires lit for some awesome gaming action for Epic LAN 5.

Epic LAN 4 - The fun comes to an end

We had a good turnout to Epic LAN 4 with a lot of new faces and all of our veterans returning again for another dose of our epicness. 

The network has been significantly improved and we were seeing pings of less than 10ms across the board even when the server was under heavy load from file sharing with our epic HP Procurve again measured up to and exceeded our expectations! Along with our obviously killer network we ran our tournament in Counter Strike Source, with a SteelSeries Siberia V2 at stake. Our winner, by one game, was Christian Phillip, barely snatching the prize from Ben Kennedy. Enjoy the headset! And a big thank you to SteelSeries for donating it to us along with some kickass posters as well. 

We hope that everyone had a great time and hope to see everyone at the next event! We aren't planning to run another event until early 2012 or late 2011, so hold on for it guys, because Epic LAN is coming again!

So today I received in the mail a rather large looking box with the words "SteelSeries, Professional Gaming Gear" stamped on the side. In glee I ran to it and tore it open to find my eyes washed with the glory that is the Siberia V2 Headset. Thank you very much SteelSeries for your continued support of Epic LAN Melbourne and for continuously donating prizes for the event. As you know this event's major prize is a SteelSeries Siberia V2 headset. See you guys there!

Double Crossing Respawn LAN!

Well it seems Respawn LAN are continuing their tradition of having their LAN parties the day of Epic LAN's. This has happened the last two events of ours, despite us releasing the date of our events months in advance of Respawn LAN releasing their's. However this cannot be helped so I urge you Epic Lanners, RESIST THE TEMPTATIONS of the Devil, remain true to your blood and come to Epic LAN. Support us in our quest for a free and enjoyable LAN party in the Melbourne CBD, we are still running despite this recent turn of events and we hope to see you all there!
